Sheares hall is a student resident hall in National University of Singapore, where students both locals and foreigners alike live communally and partake in a variety of activities to enrich their academic lives in school. We are a group of students from the dinner & dance committee in Sheares Hall that would like to bring DnD to a whole new level, to make it more meaningful and fruitful.

 

Dinner & Dance

Traditionally, at Sheares Hall, we offer our residents ample opportunities to pursue their interests and talents, as well as hold enjoyable activities for them to participate in. One of them would be our annual Dinner and Dance (DnD). DnD is a highly anticipated event that marks the end of a working year in Sheares. It is a night for all current Shearites to come together and celebrate the significant milestones and achievements of the hall in the past year. DnD is a night of light-hearted, spontaneous fun to reward all Shearites for their contributions towards the hall’s academic, sporting and cultural excellence. At the same time, we would also be holding our very own Sheares Hall Pageant, where nominated contestants would take part in a bid to be crowned Hall King and Queen. Sheares Hall Dinner & Dance 15/16 will be expecting 300 resident participants this year.

This year, Sheares Hall Dinner & Dance will be different. Dinner & Dance this year will be an event that will be more beneficial to all participants as well as making it more meaningful. This will be done by incorporating a charity element for for DnD, by raising funds for Movement for the Intellectually Disabled (MINDS) charity. The funds will be raised from two sources. Firstly, through a cut of our fundraising sales of korean cosmetics that are sponsored by B2origin, and a second stream via donations.
